Inora as a Company
Durability, usability, and good design carry into the future – that’s what we believe at Inora. We don’t create the unnecessary, but instead focus on meeting genuine needs, responsibly and personally, within a Finnish family business. Our story began in 1963, when Unto Kivinen started manufacturing EPS insulation in Hollola. In 1975, operations expanded to Iisalmi. Harri Naukkarinen became the director of the Iisalmi plant in 1980 and later, through an acquisition, the owner of the company in 1993. Since then, all operations have been centralized in Iisalmi.
At the turn of the millennium, the next generation took the helm. Today, Minna Aronen serves as Production Manager and Chair of the Board, and Matti Aronen as CEO.
Over the past 60 years, we have grown into one of Finland’s largest manufacturers of insulation and plastic products. We are committed to developing the entire industry and continuously seek more responsible raw materials and operating methods. In addition, we invest in contract manufacturing, offering our partners our extensive production expertise and broad material know-how.
Quality
For us, ensuring the quality of our work is a matter of pride. We achieve this through our principle of continuous improvement, in accordance with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
We are proud of our Finnish origin – as a recognition of this, our yard and garden products have been granted the Key Flag Symbol, signifying Finnish manufacturing. Our Heija rocking chair also carries the Design from Finland mark, representing Finnish design excellence.
