Inora Insulation
In Finnish conditions, frost protection is important to consider in all construction, especially when the soil type is frost-prone. With Inora Routa and Infra insulation, you ensure long-lasting, load-bearing frost insulation for buildings, yards, and roads.
Frost insulation should be done properly the first time to avoid difficult and expensive repairs.
Inora's product range also includes special products for the frost protection of wells and a new formwork package for column installation, the Inora Column Form.

Building Frost Insulation
Frost insulation protects a building from frost damage. The purpose is to prevent the ground under the foundations from freezing, so that the freezing and heaving of the soil do not damage the building.
The frost insulation is sized according to the foundation method, foundation depth, and the building site. The foundations of heated buildings are protected for 1-1.5 meters from the wall line. In corner areas, double the insulation thickness compared to the wall line and a 0.5-meter wider protection are used.
Frost Insulation for Yard Areas and Pavements
It is wise to properly insulate yard areas, terraces, and patios during the construction phase to avoid cumbersome repairs later. Driveways usually lack the protective effect of snow, so preventing frost heaving is especially important.
